Title
The playing rules are very different from the bidding rules. There are different types of information to consider and there are new features in the rules to manipulate the information.

Understanding the playing rules is best done by seeing them in action. Please take a look at the videos on YouTube™.

But, first, consider the information that the rules use to make their decision. During bidding, the information a player knows consists of their own hand and the bids.

During play, this information is expanded. Now a player can see their hand and one other. And, using information derived from the bidding, the player infers the distribution of the unseen cards.

The game also infers the distribution of the cards. When the rules make a play, they can use either the actual cards or the inferred cards, depending upon the setting of "Rules use:" in the ruleset panel of the main screen.

Using the actual cards is good for studying a deal. Using the inferred cards simulates the way people play.

There are eight different types of information that the game collects in preparation for a player to play. Click on one for more explanation.

Suit variables are used in the playing rules exactly as they are in the bidding rules. But, the playing rules have two new ways to organize information about the hand. Boolean variables make a true/false statement about the hand as a whole. Suit attributes make a true/false statement about a particular suit.
